Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights adds ‘Sinister,’ ‘The Purge’ to Horrors of Blumhouse attraction – Orange County Register

Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights has announced its collaboration with producer Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions to bring franchise films like “The Purge” and “Sinister,” as well as the forthcoming “Happy Death Day,” which hits theaters Friday, Oct. 13, into the all-new The Horrors of Blumhouse attraction.

While the theme park already revealed its plans for a walk-through-maze based on Blumhouse’s “Insidious” franchise, it decided to take its relationship with Blumhouse one step further and incorporate some of its other films into the immersive Halloween event, which kicks off Friday, Sept. 15.

“It’s a privilege to collaborate with Jason Blum and his team at Blumhouse Productions to create The Horrors of Blumhouse,” Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights creative director and executive producer John Murdy said via a press release. “The decisive, innovative way in which he interprets underlying issues plaguing today’s society into his films provides us with a plethora of content to create truly captivating, one-of-a-kind modern horror experiences for our guests.”
