Armstrong Artisan Farm in Walnut Cove is hosting a corn maze beginning on Sept. 1 which will run through Nov. 4. Along with the maze, the farm will offer a pick-your-own pumpkin patch, hay rides, a livestock viewing area and fresh meat and farm eggs for sale.
“The maze will feature a short and long route and is stroller accessible,” said Jessica Armstrong, who owns the farm along with her husband, Austin. “It’s the only one in the nearby area. We have had a few people do test runs through the maze and all seem to have enjoyed it so far.”
The maze will be open each Friday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. The farm is also open during the week by appointment for clubs, schools or church groups.
“Hopefully people will enjoy getting to spend time on the farm with family and friends. This gives people more than one option to do at the farm. It can be a day of family fun or just come pick out a pumpkin.”
The cost is $6 for adults and $5 for children (four and under are free). Group discounts are available. Armstrong Artisan Farm is located on a 79 acre farm along the Town Fork Creek at 1499 Brook Cove Rd.
