MB Financial Awards Grant to Train Individuals from low-income areas for Jobs in Banking

MB Financial Bank, N.A. is proud to partner with Association House of Chicago (AHC) through a grant award to support its Financial Careers Training Program – a free program that prepares individuals to become bank tellers, customer service representatives, and personal bankers.

“Partnering with AHC to support the Financial Careers Training Program was a natural choice,” said Vicky Arroyo, President Community Development Corporation for MB Financial Bank. “Educational empowerment is a significant focus of our corporate giving and community development efforts. Participants gain skills that lead to living wage employment, and our organization gets to recruit well-trained, qualified candidates. Everybody wins.”

In addition to providing financial support for AHC’s Financial Careers Training Program, MB Financial employees participate in the program as volunteers. Employees lead workshops, perform mock interviews, attend career fairs, organize field trips to corporate workplaces, and provide students with coaching and mentoring.
