Summer is on its last gasp, and before you know it, the flurry of end-of-year travel will be here. In the interim, Norwegian Air Shuttle knows you could use a break—in the form of a cheap getaway—and is currently offering one-way flights to Europe for as little as $89 or to the Caribbean for $49, as part of its fall sale.
The low-cost flights must be booked by September 6, but over 20,000 seats at rock-bottom prices are available for the months of October, November, and December 2017, and January, February, and March 2018. Deals include $99 flights from Boston to London; $139 flights from Newark to Paris or Rome, and from New York-JFK to Copenhagen, London, Oslo, Paris, or Stockholm; $159 flights from Orlando or Miami/Ft. Lauderdale to London; $179 flights from Denver to London or Paris; and $159 flights from Los Angeles to Copenhagen, Paris, or Stockholm. Folks in the Northeast have it even better, with $89 flights from Providence/Boston and New York-Newburgh-Stewart to Belfast, Edinburgh, Shannon, Dublin, and Bergen.
Keep in mind these prices don’t include a return flight, which is usually a bit more expensive, or baggage, food, and a number of amenities you’re likely accustomed to—all those little extras come with fees. But if you’re flexible and can travel light, you can get to Europe for less than it’d cost to get around domestically. Plus, Norwegian flies the 787 Dreamliner, which helps reduce jet lag, and makes for an overall better flight.
And if Europe’s not quite your cup of tea in the fall or winter, Norwegian is also selling flights to the Caribbean destinations of Guadeloupe and Martinique for just $49 one-way from most of the U.S. airports the airline services, so you can make your beach escape for under $250, round-trip. But book soon—these kind of deals usually go fast.
