>> CrossRoads Fellowship will be working with World Vision and with two local churches in the Houston area in the coming weeks to support relief efforts all along the Gulf Coast region and help people impacted by Hurricane Harvey. The public can help with these efforts by donating supplies and helping the church package disaster relief kits to be taken or shipped directly to those in need in affected areas. Items to donate include laundry soap, heavy duty trash bags, box fans, box cutters, disposable dust masks, cleaning gloves, water and nonperishable food items. Crossroads will be a collection point for supplies at all locations around the Permian Basin. For more information on donation times and upcoming dates for packaging disaster relief kits, visit the listed websites. Donations can be dropped off at the following locations.

>> Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 2633 Conover Ave., has scheduled the 2017 Holy Redeemer Annual Fall Festival from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. There will be live music, food booths, a video game trailer, a sports jumper, a mechanical bull, pony rides, a funnel cake trailer and more. Grand prize for the raffle is a 2017 Jeep Renegade.
