Casepoint is pleased to announce the award of a multi-year contract to serve the Defender Services program in the United States. This multi-million dollar contract, administered through the Defender Services Office of the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, will allow federal defender offices and private attorneys who accept Criminal Justice Act (CJA) appointments to use Casepoint in select federal criminal cases. This contract will provide critical assistance to these attorneys who are facing increasing volumes of e-discovery in federal cases, and who have a pressing need for a robust, cloud-based full-service platform which Casepoint intends to serve. Since nearly 90 percent of all defendants in federal criminal cases in the U.S. have court-appointed counsel (either an attorney from the local federal public or community defender office, or a private attorney who accepts CJA appointments), it is vital for the integrity of the U.S. judicial system that counsel for indigent defendants have tools like Casepoint to assist them in adapting to the digital era.
Complementary to this development, we also announce the hiring of Amy Hilbert as Casepoint’s Vice President of Public Sector. Amy takes the helm to support and further expand public sector relationships. Amy is seasoned in building and managing relationships across the federal, state, and local government markets. She has executed and expanded high revenue sales lifecycles with strategic clients.
