Brea schools are back in session – Orange County Register

Students along with family and friends arrived early. Some were happier about it than others.

Tuesday, Aug. 29, was the first day of school in Brea.

At Arovista Elementary School about 440 students are enrolled this year. They return to a campus that features a new Innovation Lab where students will be able to work on projects using Chromebooks, iPads, and programmable robots.

The school also added a raised garden bed through a grant from the Whole Kids Foundation, which is associated with Whole Foods Market. The school will start an after-school gardening club and will partner with the Brea Senior Center and other community organizations for…
