“I am excited to see a global company like FoxConn choose to invest in Wisconsin,” said Christopher Carter, CEO of Approyo. “The addition of thousands of jobs and a new footprint of a large global company will only help Wisconsin.”
Foxconn, a Taiwanese technology company, has announced plans to invest $10 billion to build a large liquid crystal display (LCD) production facility in southeastern Wisconsin.
The Foxconn plant would make liquid crystal display panels used in computer screens, televisions and the dashboards of cars. Governor Walker’s office said the deal could result in up to 22,000 jobs that would be indirectly created by suppliers and businesses looking to locate near Foxconn and serve the company and its workers.
“Wisconsin has many advantages that FoxConn will be able to lean on right away including great geographic location and our people,” added Carter. “As a leading SAP technology company in Wisconsin, I look forward to the opportunity to work with FoxConn and help them become successful in my home state.”
