Whitney White, Architect of the Auction IPO, Joins Fintech Startup Prime Trust As Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer

In April of 2000, boutique investment bank WR Hambrecht + Co. recruited White from Merrill Lynch’s Global Technology Leadership Program. In his 17 years at WR Hambrecht + Co., White was central to the design and execution of all capital markets transactions including the firm’s patented auction-based offerings, and the IPOs for Google, Overstock.com, Morningstar, Interactive Brokers, Peet’s Coffee & Tea and others. He earned several patents for innovations in web-based securities auction processes as well as evolved and executed the firm’s platform-based crowdfunding and Regulation A+ mini IPO strategy. He was WR Hambrecht + Co.’s Chief Technology Officer as well as Head of Equity Capital Markets.
