Valair Aviation Announces New Avionics Sales Manager

With the ADS-B mandated 2020 deadline quickly approaching, Valair Aviation is prepared to handle the increased rate of compliance installations with the most economical and efficient systems available.

Valair Aviation, a full service MRO and FBO facility at Wiley Post Airport, enhances its sales team by designating Mark Jernigan as Avionics Sales Manager.

“We’re pleased to welcome a seasoned professional like Mark to our Avionics team as a customer advocate especially leading up the ADS-B compliance deadline in 2020,” said Darryl Wilkerson, President of Valair Aviation. “Mark’s vast experience as an aviator, MRO manager and avionics specialist compliments our team who are dedicated to offering value-enhancing solutions for our clients.”

Jernigan’s 40-year background in a variety of aviation disciplines led him to Valair Aviation. His experience as an Air Traffic Control Specialist and in Terminal Instrument Procedure design, combined with over 17,000 hours of flight time in countless aircrafts, and a diverse career in maintenance and MRO management provides Jernigan with full-service qualifications when advising customers on avionics and maintenance needs.

Prior to Valair, Jernigan served in a variety of MRO management positions with Standard Aero, Cycle Aviation, Potomac Air Charter and Landmark Aviation all of the central Atlantic region supporting Part 145, 91, 141, and 135 services for Falcon, Hawker, Beechcraft and Bombardier business aircraft. Jernigan’s duties also included quality inspection and quality assurance roles according to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 9001:2008 standards respectively. Jernigan holds several industry certifications and licenses in addition to have earned a BS in Program Management, a BS in Business Management and a BA in Aviation Education.
