ThreatAdvice Hires Former FBI Intelligence Head as Director of Intelligence

ThreatAdvice (threatadvice.com), a multi-faceted online cybersecurity platform with a focus on cyber education and training, has hired Tracy O. Crane, former FBI supervisory intelligence analyst, as director of intelligence.Crane will use his expertise as director of intelligence to keep ThreatAdvice on the forefront of the constantly changing world of cybersecurity. He will work to enhance ThreatAdvice’s current cybersecurity offering and will contribute to the development of new security solutions that address other types of threats businesses face today.

Crane worked for the FBI for over seventeen years, in the most recent capacity as supervisory intelligence analyst with management responsibility for the Field Intelligence Group. Under his command the FIG was a “one-stop shop” for the analysis and processing of raw intelligence gathered during the course of FBI investigations of major FBI programs such as cybercrime, counterterrorism, foreign counterintelligence, white collar crime and more. Early in his FBI career Crane was loaned from the agency to the Office of Independent counsel to supervise document control and evidence collection for the Whitewater investigation.
