Would you try this?
There are many things that are synonymous with Florida. Sunshine, beaches, hurricanes, alligators, humidity that smacks you right in the face when you walk out of the air conditioning ⦠and, of course, our one true love: Publix.
What doesnât jive here quite as well is autumn. We get that. Weâve come to accept the fact that the trade off for living a snow-free life comes is to miss out on beautiful fall foliage or sweater weather that our friends up north get to experience this time of year.
But this is where our romance with our dear Publix swoops in to save the day for pumpkin spice fanatics.
Why yes, Floridians, you can celebrate Fall without sweating over a pumpkin spice latte. You can celebrate on the beach with a refreshing summertime beverage remixed with a splash of autumn spice.
Enter the Publix pumpkin spice sweet iced tea.
Publix took to Facebook Wednesday to announce the arrival of its newest festive fall flavor of iced tea.
The tea is sold in half gallons near the deli for $1.89, smaller bottles are also available. Itâs a limited time flavor âfor the fall monthsâ social media posts stated.
Now the real question here is whether the idea of pumpkin spice iced tea makes you want to vomit ⦠or jump in your car because you have to try it right this instant.
There were certainly mixed reviews on the post. Some praised Publix for the addition, noting that it might be tasty cold or hot. Others scoffed at the idea calling it âgross.â
âI think there are limits to pumpkin spice â this is stretching it, Pub,â one of the comments read.
âI’m so torn on trying this. It’ll either be really tasty or one of the worst decisions ever,â another comment stated.
The tea only comes sweetened, there are no sugarless alternatives. One 8-ounce serving of the drink has 20 grams of sugar….
