Groups to gather for ‘Light Up the Pier’
The PierPride Foundation invites local residents to show up on the pier at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, to “Light Up the Pier.”
Sunset is due at around 6:20 p.m., and after dark, the gathering will be asked to line the pier railings and, at a given signal, hold up their lighted cell phones in unison.
Pictures will be snapped to help the PierPride Foundation promote its goal of establishing a self-sustaining fund to help the city maintain and enhance the San Clemente Pier.
