Here’s the real story behind the face painter at the OC Fair – Orange County Register

COSTA MESA Haven Miranda, 5, runs off to a mirror to examine the dragon wrapped across his face. He then takes off to show a grandparent, but is soon back at the mirror admiring himself.

Haven is just one of the satisfied customers at the Face Painting station near the Baja Blue restaurant where Jodene Williams, 53, of Garden Grove sets up shop at the Orange County Fair with K.C. Sangabi.

“She has a heart this big,” said Sangabi, holding his hands more than a foot apart.

Later, sister and brother Emma, 7, and Eddie White, 5, of Huntington Beach, plop into seats. Emma leaves with a unicorn looping from forehead to cheek, and Eddie is adorned with a lizard.
