Fine craftspeople and artists from the Huron Valley area, local musicians and community groups will come together at the sixth annual Huron Valley Arts Festival this weekend.
It will feature a Michigan-focused fine art and craft market, demos, a locally sourced Culinary Arts Michigan Makers tent, children’s activities, face painting, storytellers from North Oakland County Storytellers from 1-3 p.m. Saturday and a DIA Children’s booth 1-3 p.m. Sunday.
In addition, there will be food trucks as well as live music by Spoonful Blues Band, Mia Green, Matt Fig & The Disappointments and Chris James plus performance by the Fuse Theatre Company.
Huron Valley Woodturners, Black Sheep Weavers Fiber Guild, and Village Fine Arts Association will do demonstrations, and representatives of community groups such as Commerce Friends of Byers and Milford Historical Society will set up information booths.
Festival artists are juried to represent unique works from Michigan and beyond, including The Art Shop artists, who maintain a gallery of fine art all year at HVCA in Highland Township.

Based in western Oakland County, Huron Valley Council for the Arts is committed to supporting activities of established and aspiring visual and performing artists and organizations in and around western Oakland County.
